Beyond WordPress too
Shopify support and development
The workshop was born for WordPress, but on e-commerce we work both sides of the street: we're specialized in Shopify too. A different platform, different problems — no hosting or updates to manage, but Liquid themes to customize, apps that pile up (and charge you every month) and platform limits you need to know well to work around them elegantly.
We customize themes, bring order to your apps, optimize performance and handle migrations in both directions: from WooCommerce to Shopify and back. Knowing both platforms lets us give you the right advice, not the partisan one.
What we do on Shopify
The typical interventions on Shopify stores that come into the workshop:
- Theme customization: custom sections, Liquid changes, on-brand design without gutting the theme
- App audit: which ones you actually need, which overlap, how much they weigh on your monthly bill and your speed
- Replacing superfluous apps with theme code (a one-off customization instead of a lifetime subscription)
- Speed optimization: images, app scripts, slimmed-down theme
- Shopify technical SEO: structure, redirects, structured data, collections and navigation
- Integrations: ERPs, invoicing, Google Shopping and marketplace feeds
WooCommerce or Shopify? Honest advice
We work on both every week, so we have no flag to defend. Shopify wins when you want zero infrastructure worries: hosting, security and updates are included, you launch fast and the platform absorbs traffic peaks without you lifting a finger. WooCommerce wins when you need total control, deep customization and no percentage fees: you pay more in management, but the store is yours down to the last line.
The right answer depends on catalogue, volumes, customization needs and recurring budget. If you're choosing, our diagnosis gives you a concrete comparison on your own numbers — including Shopify app costs, which are often underestimated at the start.
WooCommerce ↔ Shopify migrations
It's the bridge between the two worlds, and we cross it in both directions: products with variants and images, customers, order history, discount codes, reviews. And above all the SEO: a complete 301 redirect map (Shopify's URL structure is rigid and must be handled with care), preserved meta tags, updated sitemap and Search Console.
The source store stays live until the switch: the migration is prepared in parallel, tested with real purchases and completed in an agreed window. Orders and customers don't get lost along the way.
Ongoing support on Shopify too
Shopify removes infrastructure maintenance, not store maintenance: themes get updated and customizations must be preserved, apps change pricing and behaviour, the checkout evolves. Our ongoing support covers periodic theme and app reviews, small changes included, and fast interventions when something breaks.
And for custom features — advanced sections, automations, particular integrations — the same approach as our WordPress development applies: analysis, fixed quote, clean documented code.
Frequently asked questions
The theme broke after a Shopify update: can you fix it?
Yes: we restore the working version, identify the conflict (usually customizations made directly on the theme without duplicating it) and restructure the changes so they survive future updates.
I'm paying for too many apps: can the monthly bill be reduced?
Almost always yes: the audit identifies overlapping, unused or replaceable apps — often a few lines of theme code do the job. Halving the monthly app bill without losing features is a frequent outcome.
Is it worth migrating from WooCommerce to Shopify (or the other way)?
It depends on the control, customization and recurring costs you want to carry. We know both platforms well: we give you an honest comparison on your store's numbers, and if migrating makes sense we handle it complete with redirects and SEO.
Do you handle SEO on Shopify too?
Yes: collection and navigation structure, redirects, structured data, meta tags and speed. Shopify has specific SEO constraints (rigid URLs, a limited blog) — knowing them is half the job.
