Elementor site support
Elementor is the most widely used page builder in the world, and for good reason: it lets you build beautiful sites without writing code. But its very power makes it delicate: an out-of-sequence update, a conflict with the theme or a third-party widget can break the layout or slow the whole site down.
Fixotron works on Elementor sites every week: we repair broken layouts, resolve conflicts, optimize performance and keep the builder updated without surprises. We know its weak spots — and how to keep them under control.
The Elementor problems we fix most often
If you run an Elementor site, some of these will sound familiar:
- Layout broken after an Elementor, Elementor Pro or theme update
- The editing panel won't load, or hangs on infinite loading
- Widgets disappearing, or sections looking different from the editor
- CSS not refreshing: you make changes but the site stays the same
- Conflicts between Elementor, the theme and other plugins (caching and optimization above all)
- Slow site: Elementor adds weight, and without optimization you feel it
- Incompatible Elementor and PHP versions after a hosting change
Updating Elementor without breaking the site
Elementor needs frequent updates (for security too: it's a frequent target precisely because it's everywhere), but it has to be done with method: backup first, then compatibility checks between Elementor, Elementor Pro, theme and add-ons — the versions must move together — then the update on staging and a check of the key pages before touching production.
That's exactly what we do in our WordPress maintenance plans: for Elementor sites the post-update visual check is part of the protocol, not an optional extra.
Elementor and speed: they can get along
Slowness is the most frequent criticism of Elementor, but in our experience the builder is rarely the only culprit: accumulated third-party widgets, unoptimized images, badly configured caching and bloated themes underneath the builder all weigh in.
An optimized Elementor site — unused features disabled, add-ons trimmed to the essentials, caching and images done right — can score green Core Web Vitals. It's work we often do together with speed optimization, measured before and after.
Restyling and development on Elementor
Beyond repairs, we also build on Elementor: restyling of existing sites, reusable templates and sections, custom widgets when the stock ones aren't enough. And if your site has outgrown the builder, we'll tell you honestly when it's worth moving to a lighter solution — that's a custom development case, and we know how to manage the transition without losing content or rankings.
Frequently asked questions
My site broke after an Elementor update: can you fix it?
Yes, it's one of our most frequent interventions: we identify the conflict (builder, Pro, theme or add-on), restore the working version and complete the update cleanly. Free diagnosis.
Can an Elementor site be fast?
Yes: with add-ons trimmed to the essentials, unused features disabled, caching configured and images optimized, an Elementor site can score green Core Web Vitals. We prove it with before/after measurements.
Do you also work with Divi, WPBakery or other builders?
Yes: Elementor is the most widespread, but we regularly work on Divi, WPBakery, Beaver Builder and Gutenberg. The typical problems (conflicts, slowness, updates) are similar — and we know them all.
Do I need an Elementor Pro license for you to work on the site?
No: we work on both Elementor free and Pro. If the site uses Pro with an expired license, we help you assess whether to renew it or achieve the same features in a more solid way.
